At Woofter Ranch, everyone that lives here has a job.  The cows have the job of producing and raising a calf each year.  The Bulls have the job of contributing to the next seasons calf crop.  The donkeys are entrusted with protecting the herd from predators and teaching children how to be a good "leader".  The horses are our partners in checking fences, looking over pasture grazing conditions and moving cows when needed.  Our dogs don't work cattle, but they are sure nice to pet!

We do the majority of our own cattle work including tagging new calves, castration and checking cows to confirm pregnancy.  Our indoor working facilities were completed in 2021 and make working cattle a calm, easy process that is done as a family with minimal stress to the animals.

While all of this is "work", it is what we truly love, and when you are invested in what you do, it never really feels much like an actual job.
